I had no clue until then.

And yeah, I'm rather fond of the Batcave. Part of why I'm determined not to give it up. The only problem with it is that ever since we relocated the computer to the cave, the wireless system I'd set up for her laptop seems to be kaput. Sheri thinks moving the computer will fix the problem, but her laptop's Internet doesn't even work when it's in the Batcave. Hoping to have a friend's husband get a look at it and see where I've screwed up!Bill, the Wildcathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16137557955170758994noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27501266.post-1152068211048761742006-07-04T22:56:00.000-04:002006-07-04T22:56:00.000-04:00Thanks for explaining about the desk, Bill. I knew you'd get around to it, which is why I never pestered you! :)

Funny that you should mention a "spinet," because when I first saw the desk, the first thing that came to mind was an antique harpsichord that I'd seen in storage at a museum's back room in Columbia. (I think it was being stored by a local historical home that was undergoing renovation at the time.)

Though I wasn't sure what a spinet was, when I looked it up, I discovered that it is a member of -- what else? -- the harpsichord family! Isn't it funny how things work out?

I love the Batcave!Patrickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04003514145670026703noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-27501266.post-1152057782586884692006-07-04T20:03:00.000-04:002006-07-04T20:03:00.000-04:00Well, the color selection had more to do with what...Well, the color selection had more to do with what paint we had available than anything else, but the black doesn't bother me a bit. Inspiring? Harder to say. Frankly, after having to work in the den for a few months and dealing with the constant distraction of my children and the television, the solitude is the most inspiring thing about the Batcave.

Sheri actually wants to move the computer up into the kitchen, but I've managed to thwart her efforts thus far.

Pat, you got me very curious to see what you're going to post.
