Because Every Cat Has His Day

I'm sorry to say there won't be a Wednesday episode this week. Shortly after I posted yesterday's bonus episode, I came down with a rather nasty cold that has knocked me on by hindquarters. Nonetheless, I do have some exciting news to make up for the absence of a Wednesday episode this week, that and news of a special contest that all of you can enter.

For several weeks now, I've been working on a special project for the Lair. For the first time ever, I'm selling a Wildcat's Lair calendar. That's right. For those of you who simply can't get enough of looking at Frank and company online, now you can gaze at him on your wall every day in 2010.

This 12-month calendar contains images from some of this year's favorite episodes, many of which have been rebuilt from scratch to make sure they look their best as they hang in your home or cubicle. I've included a few of these images in this entry. Each calendar costs $14.99, and I won't be charging for the shipping so long as the destination is within the continental U.S. Some of you might have already noticed the link to purchase the calendar on the left column of the Lair.

So what could be better than buying a "Wildcat's Lair" calendar? How about getting one for free? Ah, yes, I did mention there was a contest. Well, here's the deal.

Note the lovely, little promotional image above with the calendar's cover and its tag line, "Because Every Cat Has His Day." For those that post that image along with a link to this entry (I've got the html below for you to use) in their blog, they'll get an a chance to win a free copy.

The rules:

1-One entry per blog in which the ad is posted. Not that I'm opposed to folks posting this multiple times in their blog, but it's just simpler this way. However, if you have multiple blogs, then you can use them to give yourself multiple entries. Blogs that will be acceptable for the contest include Blogger, LiveJournal, etc.

2-The blog in which the ad appears must be a public blog. After all, if folks can't see it's there, then what's the point?

3-Once you've posted the ad in your blog, then come back to this post and place a link to it in a reply. If you post it as a reply to any other journal entry here in the Lair, it won't count. However, I will have a journal entry on my LiveJournal blog, The Wildcat's Other Lair, where entries can be posted for those that don't care for Blogger. Just don't post a reply to both entries with the same link; that's still only going to count as one entry.

4-And lastly, you've got until 11:59pm on Saturday, October 31, 2009 to enter. After that, it's all over, folks. The winner will be announced Saturday, November 7, 2009. My wife, the one and only Dragon Queen, will draw the winner's name from a hat or large bowl, depending on the number of entries.

All right, so here's the html code you'll need to use:

<a href="http://wildcatslair.blogspot.com/2009/10/because-every-cat-has-his-day.html"><img src="http://i380.photobucket.com/albums/oo243/KnightBek/album01/LairCal2010D.jpg" /></a>

My first box of calendars arrived today, so I'm pretty excited about this. After all, it's past time Frank actually did something to contribute around here. He's been living rent-free in my home for quite some time now! Here's hoping this will be the first calendar of many for the "Wildcat's Lair."

Done! Although the photo link doesn't look quite as purty due to the way my blog lines are set up. Maybe 2010 will have a calendar for us.
